If you and your friends like to get together every so often to play some poker, there's nothing terribly wrong with that. After all it's just to hone your poker skills for when you all decide to take a bunch of cash and waste it all on that trip to the "City of Sin." But the main question that's on your minds is how to win money in cash game poker. Nope I didn't mess up the syntax of that sentence, that's just how it runs through your mind.

When you're playing with your friends, the best way to practice is just to play for a little money, maybe have a $10-20 buy-in. As long as you guys all have jobs and it's your own extra cash that you’re spending, it's won’t hurt anyone. Unless you’re a sore loser and a stingy little prick, there shouldn't be any problems. Playing for money is what gives poker its edge and if you playing for anything else, you won't be as careful with your chips and you're more likely to take bigger risks than if you were playing for cash.
